Film Festival – The Naughty Kids!

Hola Bloggers,

Last term the Senior School worked on their Films. We all worked very hard and finally we all finished.

What went well in my group was we had some useful people and they were really kind and listened to the group ideas.

What didn’t go well in my group was that we weren’t really organized and we kept changing our storyline.

My highlight of the experiment was that we all worked together and even when some people were away we still managed to keep the group together.

My favorite part of the film was definitely the part where the principal comes in and everyone gasps.

One thing I would change if I could would be, being able to change the storyline earlier.

Have you ever done a film? Here is my film, it is called “The Naughty Kids”. Thank you! Click here to see our blurb!

Ambassadors Meeting!

Malo E Lelei,

This afternoon we had an ambassadors meeting, Musawir and I are the Ako Hiko Ambassadors for Hay Park School. We try to meet about 2 times a term to discuss events that are coming up. Today our focus was film festival. Film Festival is coming up in October at St Lukes cinema and starts at 6:30pm. As Ambassadors we have to go to the cinemas and help out. We have to be early to get everything prepared before the people arrive. We will then lead people to their seats. Today we checked out the intro video that Whaea Tanya created. I can’t wait to see our part of the film added. Here is a couple of screenshots from the video that Tanya created.

Here is the poster about when the cinemas event is.

Cybersmart!

Kia Ora,

Today for Cybersmart we had to take screenshots of our Film Festival script. It had to be 3 screenshots. We put our screenshots on a google slide presentation. We talked about what was challenging about filming and what the solution could be. Our film was supposed to be a scary film but soon changed it to an comedy film.

One of the things I find challenging about Film Festival is when people make background noise, a solution is to ask the people to quiet down.

The hardest part was trying to find a piece of writing in our script to screenshot.

The easiest part was putting in the screenshot.

Have you done Film Festival?

If you have what are the struggles?

Here is my google slide presentation. If you have questions feel free to comment. Thank you for visiting my blog!

Film Festival Cinemas

Hola People!

On Tuesday 25th July the whole senior school went to the cinemas in Auckland city to learn more about films. We had to look at the key features in the films for film festival. We arrived at the ASB Cinemas and everyone hopped out of the bus. We walked up the stairs and soon were in the theater. We slowly sat into seats and this kind lady introduced herself and talked about the movies. We soon started and watched 10 animated films. The lights all turned off and it was dark. If we needed to use the bathroom we had to ask a teacher and the staff would tell us where the bathroom was.

Most of the films had all animals in them but my favourite one was the first one which was “Cat and moth” because the story was very clear. We could even snack in the movie theater and everyone ate snacks. We watched quietly and we sat at the very front while other schools sat at the back. The stage was huge and so was the screen. The sound was not too loud and quiet. After the 10 films were finished the lady ended it with a little speech and we all left the building. We were the last school to leave the theater and we all said thank you to the staff. This trip was very fun because we got to see films and we also got to eat inside the movie theater.
